Are You an Obsessive-Compulsive-Neat-Freak-Traveller Wannabe? Be at Beabi!

Attention obsessive-compulsive and neat-freak people who loves to clean and organize things in every system known to man as possible: beabi is here! If you are the type of person who loves to separate, organize and pack things according to kind, type, etc., you are definitely gonna go gaga over this store! And if you are a pretentious, organized person wannabe like me who loves the idea of having organized stuff but always fails to take action, this is where it could actually start working.

Beabi offers a lot of travel repackages, containers for pills, lotions, perfumes, creams, dentures, contact lens and solutions.  They also have bags, knapsacks, bag organizers and other travel cases for a lot of things that usually are cluttered in your bag or in your room! It actually reminded me of the now extinct "Anonymous" store that sold clear, unbranded containers for everyday normal stuff. But judging from the line-up of the items that they are offering, Beabi is specialized with travel containers and bags that are suitable for organized packing.

Since I am usually assigned in a provincial area and I need to travel every week, I had the need to buy their contact lens solution bottle. Why? Because I want to travel light and the contact lens solution is so big and fat and heavy... Their items are just simple, nothing dramatic (very ironic for me). Just -plain colors, no designs. I guess they are after the function of the items since they are intended for repackaging.

Well, that was a start for me... I don't think I'm gonna have a complete overhaul of my clutter and start organizing my stuff either by the Dewey Decimal System or some color-size-starting letter system. A small bottle is a start and I am thinking of going back there to buy some lotion and shampoo containers... or maybe even an underwear/ lingerie bag. Hmm...

I could already imagine myself being a neat-freak... or a very organized person with little packaged and grouped items, neatly stacked in my very clean room...hmm... on second thought... NOT!

Poof! there it goes again... my mind is playing tricks on my ability to clean my room... and my life. :)

Maybe, next time, I'll write about my very organized room and how long I could keep it that way.

Books for Breakfast and Dailybooth for Dinner

I'm about to sleep. So far, my neurons are still working enough for me to write a short recall of an eventful day. Nothing dramatic really. But for me, a day is not a day without a highlight recaptured. I went out with my fiance the whole day starting from sun-up to sun-down. And since my eyes are half-shut while I'm writing this blog post, I will reminisce several events and details worth mentioning below:

0500H     Woke up to the sound of my mobile phone's alarm to the tune of "It's my Life/Confessions mash-up song" by Glee cast. "This is a song for the broken hearted..." (well, it's a really effective wake-up call!)

0545H     Grabbed my phone and called my hunny. (I am literally his wake-up call)

0630H     Rushed from the bathroom after taking a bath and after having a coffee body scrub as a "perk-me-up"

0705H     Still rushing to walk to our meeting place: local convenience store about 3 blocks away from my house. (My hunny was calling me while I was walking because I was taking too long...)

0800H     Just got in time at the new DFA building for my hunny's passport renewal APPOINTMENT that turned out to be a DISAPPOINTMENT. (Their new system sucks)

1000H     Walked to Mall of Asia for Breakfast.

1015H     Looked for a place to eat breakfast but went to a bookstore instead. I went straight to the cookbooks section, which made my stomach growl more fiercely. Books for breakfast... Yum.

1140H     We have walked around MOA for more than hour already with the agenda of choosing a place for breakfast (which now turned to brunch) and still we haven't chosen yet.

1145H     I asked my hunny rhetorically, "Why can't we be just normal hungry people and just eat without considering if we've already been there?"

1146H     My hunny answered, "I have just recently lost the ability to decide. My stomach is eating my brains."

1215H     After circling the mall at least two times (That mall is big!) while laughing and joking around, we finally settled at Almon Marina, a gourmet resto-deli which we have already been to before. (Because we both believe that you can't go wrong at that place... food is always good there).

1330H     After eating lamb kebabs, Salisbury steak and Crab Louis salad, my hunny and I were both satiated. We had ice cream for dessert at our favorite ice cream store: Sebastian's. My ice cream flavor was "Kiss from a rose" -tequila rose (tequila strawberry liqueur) flavor which hinted the slight tequila taste at my soft palate sending a slight alcoholic taste up my nose. Cool!

1400H     Bought a new mascara from Covergirl... along with other toiletries not worth mentioning.

1430H     Headed home.

1900H     Thought of baking some pastries. Was bitten by the lazy bug and decided not to bake.

2100H     Tried on a new mascara and took a photo at Dailybooth. :)

NOW and counting: Writing a blog post.

A FEW MINUTES LATER:   ...zzzZZZZZZZZZZZ (Sorry, I don't snore.)

Drum roll please... This is my first post.

Good morning sunshine! Good morning to people who wake up late during Sunday that it's not morning anymore-- Good Noon to you! Good morning to me and my disheveled bed and the heap of cluttered things beside me. I am literally occupying about 1/4 of my bed space - no wonder my back hurts. Good morning to my laptop, which squats on the foot of my bed, hogging my precious space. Good morning to you imaginary people who reads my blog.

My life is a mess.

Literally, my life is a mess. I look around me and I don't even see a room. It's like a colorful junk shop. I look around me again and say to myself while clutching handfuls of hair on my head, "My life is a mess!!!"

The Vintage Drama Queen Lesson # 1: YOUR ROOM REFLECTS YOUR LIFE.

Through the years, I have come to discover that my room reflects the cycles of ups and downs of my life. When my life is disorganized, my room is not organized (Yes, my room gets organized too!). Sometimes, we get so busy that we don't realize that our lives needs a re-assessment. Sometimes, I get too caught up with the serious-adult-stuff-that-makes-you-even-older-stuff that I tend to neglect the fun things in my life that keeps on stacking up in one corner. And this morning, I realized as I look around my room, there are a lot of things that remind me of hobbies, dreams, passion and love.

I am one of those people who get caught up in entropy and get used to it. Entropy, is the measure of disorder and randomness. And amidst the randomness and disorder, I know where to find even the smallest of stuff amongst the disarray of varied thingamabobs (as the Little Mermaid would have described them). Well, one thing is for sure, I will definitely enjoy fixing up because when i do, it's like being in the cave of wonders . Each thing put away carries a certain memory and evoke a different emotion. But I guess that is also where the hard part is because I would definitely be held up by those things and it would take me eons before I finally put my room back in order again.

So I guess, this is the part where I should stop thinking about fixing my room and actually doing it. I was actually in a trance a while ago daydreaming about me being Hermione and using my magic wand. With the whisk of a wand, I will just shout, "Tergeo, Room!" (Tergeo is a spell for fixing up or cleaning the house in Harry Potter).

Poof.

There goes my daydream bubble. And so I'm off to fix my life... Oh, I mean, my room.
